Day 1-2
Vancouver
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. The next day is yours to explore this enchanting coastal city. Stroll the historic district of Gastown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, take flight at Flyover Canada or join a whale watching tour and go in search of BC's resident orcas.
Day 3
Rocky Mountaineer to Whistler
Travel on board Rocky Mountaineer to the mountain town of Whistler. Travel through the stunning Sea to Sky Corridor, with views over Howe Sound, the Coast Mountains and Brandywine Falls. From inside Rocky Mountaineer's signature glass dome carriages you won't miss a thing! You'll arrive in the early afternoon meaning you have plenty of time to explore Whistler at your own leisure.
Day 4
Rocky Mountaineer to Quesnel
Your journey continues eastwards towards the charming rural town of Quesnel. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery as you travel through the river canyons and luch farmland of the Pemberton Valley, the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to the rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau.
Day 5
Rocky Mountaineer to Jasper
Back on board Rocky Mountaineer, you will continue eastwards towards the majestic Canadian Rockies. Travelling initially through the forests of British Columbia you will begin to see the mountains rise above you. The pinnacle is Mount Robson, which at 3,954 metres is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Day 6
Jasper
You have a free day in Jasper to relax in the town's numerous cafes or explore the surrounding national park. An hour from Jasper is the famous Maligne Lake where you can take a boat cruise onto Spirit Island. Look out for wildlife, Jasper is known for the herd of Elk that graze on the outskirts of town.
Day 7-8
Lake Louise
Travel from Jasper to Lake Louise on one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. You will stop at the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn about its geological features. Lunch is provided at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. Afterwards, a brief stop will be made at Bow Lake before arriving in Lake Louise in the afternoon. After all this excitement you have a free day in Lake Louise to fully absorb the majestic scenery before you. Paddle the lake by canoe, take a stroll by the lakeside or simply sit back and take it all in!
Day 9-10
Banff
After a relaxing morning in Lake Louise, join a half day sightseeing tour of Yoho National Park and its many natural wonders including Emerald Lake and a stunning natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to Banff. The next day in Banff is yours to explore independently. This mountain town has plenty to see and do, from relaxing in the historic hot springs to outdoor wildlife adventures.
Day 11
Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. From inside Rocky Mountaineer's signature glass dome carriages you will see dramatic changes in scenery as you travel from the snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior.
Day 12
Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
It's your final day on board Rocky Mountaineer as you continue west towards the Pacific Ocean. On today's journey you will see more changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the B.C. interior through winding river canyons and past the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.
Day 13
Vancouver
You have a free day to further explore what Vancouver has to offer. Take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
Day 14
Fly home
Your epic Canadian adventure has come to an end. Transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
